I think what makes that enderpearl throw so significant is when the ender guy was falling off the bridge in level up, he had an ender pearl in his hands but clung onto it rather than throwing it, and after he felt abandoned by his former friend he wanted revenge, so he threw his former friend off a ledge into a mist of nothingness, but the main character threw the pearl instead of clinging to it saving his life and that's when you see the shock in the ender guys eyes. Amazing detail
