Just played the game. When I was outside Jinzhou, there are soldier NPCs patrolling perimeters, and would battle monsters if they see em. Details like this about the NPCs really increase the immersion.

I love a vid I saw where there is an outcast npc doing sit up and taking damage every time he does, when he’s tired and lies on the ground he restores hp lol. Also another outcast npc girl cheering for him from a distance is icing on cake 😂

Ya know it’s funny but Calcharo was also supposed to be an npc as well but the players wanted him playable so bad they made him playable. By this logic it’s entirely possible that “that” specific npc could very easily be playable one day.

the part I liked the most was when I realized that the soldier NPCs in the Whetering Wave sometimes attacked the bandit NPCs, it was very realistic and surprising when I first saw it
