Some people may have trouble trimming the wing nuts. You can remove the seat, hold the wing nut in place, and tighten it with a screwdriver. That is on the small packet of directions that come with the seat. That method does not require trimming the wing nut.

Just a heads up for those who may have notched nuts with their screws or don’t feel like tightening from the bottom. The top latch flips up and off to access the top of the screws. Its takes a good pull to pop it off, but from there you can use a wide-end screwdriver or drill to tighten it.

I did not get the same bolt, it has a turning edge to it like the old ones and it rubs against the toilet. Hard to get it tight. Will keep searching for answers.

Thank you. Unfortunately the makers don't put the instructions on the packaging and the idea of putting the bolt on the hinge first was confusing. It's not like most seats

My seat came with a wide nut for underneath and it's too wide to tighten all the way because of the design of the toilet, really dumb
