How did President’s Day come to be? It all started with George Washington’s birthday on February 22nd. However, states gradually started celebrating other presidents’ birthdays that occurred around the same time of year like Abraham Lincoln on February 12th and Thomas Jefferson on April 13th. Some states celebrate all the presidents from Washington to Biden.
