This is inspired by my own Swords Only playthrough we currently have running on the channel. That account is at a point where we just need to farm domains to further build characters, so with plenty of catalyst-wielding characters on the horizon, it's time to begin this journey as well.

To answer your question about Yanfei: she was introduced in 1.5 during Zhongli's first rerun. That being said, I don't actually know if she's on the Noelle banner or not.

What I like about your series is your dedication to the challenge. I watched some other content creators who tried to do something similar and the number of times they went "well, the game makes me use an archer/a catalyst/a swordsman/etc" or "well I will cheat just one/two/three times to light up this monument" or something like this, were a bit disappointing. You are still the best in this "%weapon type% only" videos. Thank you for your hard work.

Yanfei’s charged attack can destroy ores, so that’s another way you can break stuff ig (pretty quickly too)

I personally would wait or reroll until getting Yanfei, as pyro is crucial to early game and opening chests, plus her charged attack can mine/break rocks. I ran an all-catalysts team for quite a while with Yanfei, Sucrose, Lisa, and Barbara, and it was very playable.

But it wouldn’t be a Java video without self-induced suffering, so keep the C1 Lisa and let’s see where this goes!

A few notes on yanfei as someone who plays her often. First, her charged attack counts as a heavy attack so you can break rock walls and crystals with it. Second, this is pure nitpicking but she was not a launch character if I remember correctly she came out on zhongli's first rerun banner. Third, Yanfei supremacy. That is all thank you.

I feel like people forget that it forces you to use the traveler in the liyue/inazuma archon quest. When you meet kazuha for the first time- you have to do a short little fighting competition to get the ride into inazuma. I just feel like nobody brings it up.

For the 3 starter domains, you can do the In any order, so you could have gotten Lisa before the Amber domain

I’ve seen other people doing this challenge inspired by you but you’re still by far my favorite, other people will let themselves cut corners when needed but you always try your absolute hardest to not break the rules

Since you started the "swords only" seires, many people have been doing the "One-weapon-only" series too. They are all great content but in my opinion you are the best at entertaining us with these One-weapon-only series and i love how you try your best to keep trying and going through pain T-T unlike other players! I really love your content! Keep doing what you are doing <3

From what I remember from my own catalyst only account, you could do the first three domains out of order, so you could've theoretically done Lisa's first and not needed to cheat during the Amber one.
Also, using the Otherworldly Story three star catalyst that you can get from Mondstadt chests basically makes it so that you never have to use healing food, so you could consider using that until you get Barbara or some other healer.

As someone who uses Catalysts only, I find Overload is actually really useful for helping keep enemies away. Also, Yanfei isn’t on Noelle’s banner, as she came later on. Hope you enjoy your Spells Only account!

You can check on the rate up characters on the "details" part of the wishing banners, and Yanfei wasn't a catalyst since launch. She came with Zhongli's first rerun ^^

9:39 For the record, I’m not sure if this idea would work in practice, but hypothetically you could use Amber’s aiming mode to face a different direction and, thus, reposition Lumine.

You definitely need Klee in this account, she can break every rock and mineral in the game without depending on any other character.

Honestly, as a Lisa main I would keep c1 Lisa. Having that energy regeneration has been so helpful. I also got lucky and pulled her c1 pretty early and I don't know what it's like without it at this point lol

Also, her c2 is even more helpful for combat Lisa, especially since you won't have many options for a shield for her. It sucks that you won't be able to buy it with so little time in the month, but I genuinely think having Lisa c1 will actually help a lot.
