A few months ago New Trent sent me this Powerpak Xtreme battery pack to try out for a while. This is one of their largest capacity battery packs, and is intentionally overbuilt to allow it to be used in the outdoors without worry. I will admit, due to my lack of need for something such as this, along with the fact that it weighs 11, I would not use this on a backpacking trip. However, I feel that there are many other uses that this item is well suited for... Check out my video for all of my thoughts...

Thanks for the review. I just ordered the big brother to this and plan on taking this thing with me when I travel or hammock camp.

Good post. Yes they lose 30% of their own capacity as they charge, they eat themselves. I have an Anker 10, 000 and I got three charges out of it on my Xperia. Spare batteries are lighter, yes, but my Xperia and all Apple's are sealed units. My NEX 7 needs a wall charger, but the NEX 6 will charge from one of these. The other make is Technet that is good. Thanks for sharing.
