I recalled Nick mentioned he wanted to see if Purdy capable of doing last drive to bring 49ers in a position to win a game except the kicker missed a last few seconds FG which was out of Purdy control

When Purdy throws 250 and 4 TDs, Nick will always say he wants him to face adversity vs a good defense without his weapons. Brock literally did that, played bad the whole game, his 2 best weapons are gone, and are playing statistically the best defense in the last 40 years, Brock put his team in a winning position. This is literally what Nick wanted Brock to do

Um Wildes, Josh Allen scored 13 points against the Jets. The Patriots scored 13 points against the Jets. Mahomes scored 23 points against the Jets (and only 6 points after the 1st quarter) and they held Hurts to 14 points (7 of which was highly questionable).

That’s impressive in this NFL environment

Wildes just wiped the floor with Nick with that Trevor Lawrence reference.

I appreciate Wildes calling out Nicks BS

I actually think he showed exactly what we’ve wanted: the ability to win games while trailing facing adversity. Through bad weather, refball, dropped passes, on the road against a good-great defense, he still did his job and put his team in a position to win regardless of how ugly it may have been. Is Purdy “great” or MVP-caliber? Likely not. Is he good enough to win when given an adequate supporting cast? Absolutely.

Tom Bradys speech recently crediting his teammates for his great success while specifically addressing the kicker's importance seems incredibly needed in this debate

Niners played a top tier defense coming off a bye. They had two weeks to game plan for this and it showed. The defensive scheme was on point.

Purdy threw 1 pick "he was exposed", Hurts throws 3, "I blame the coach" 🤣

9:00 Browns fan here, Wildes is absolutely right. You get 4 shots as a quarterback, you get one shot as a kicker. Purdy, with his 4 chances to get 10 yards, put the 49ers in a position to win the game, and the player who gets one chance didn't make the field goal. That's how the game works, and that's how you're judged as a player. And yeah, Newsome should've done his job better and intercepted that ball. That's the way it is Nick

Cleveland fan here nick is definitely underrating 49ers and Cleveland! I’m not gone lie I watched the full game purdy drove them right down the field and I said 41 yard field goal yea it’s over!! We honestly got blessed!

When purdy was playing at an mvp level, Nick didn't give him his credit, but now after the one bad game he had, he will bring him down.

Im interested to see how he reacts to this game more than the game itself, its a great learning opportunity and at least he doesn't have to worry about never losing. Losing could be the best thing for him.

Feel like the Purdy hate is getting personal from Nick lol it’s like his new Josh Allen
