LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum Review | Comparison to Daily Bugle (76218)

LEGO recently released the new LEGO Dr Strange Sanctum Sanctorum and I have enjoyed building this massive set and decided to review it in detail for my lego city.

So beautiful to see lego adding cardboard packaging to a baseplate that was never even packaged previously! #gogreen

1:18 Why you ask? Well the baseplates are coming in extra packaging because they started arriving damaged. Daily Bugle had a big issue with bent baseplates right out of the box.

The numerous stickers are kind of disappointing. This LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum set would been epic if everything was prints and no stickers.

Well the versions of him were from the latest Dr strange movie. I picked mine up today so will be building sometime soon

You need to see both Doctor Strange movies to get all the reference as well as the Avengers Infinity Wars (mainly why some of those figs are included).

I guess the cardboard box is to protect the base plate from bending with the weight of the set.

Definitely jealous! Great job with the review- I actually really want to get both this & the Bugle- I’m not massively into Marvel, but I’ve been getting more & more into it lately.. which leads me to asking you these questions lol…….(I know, each time I comment, it’s like “pop quiz time” in school haha)

1st question for you- now with the price increases- do you think the Bugle is still worthwhile? If so, would you recommend that one over the Sanctum? Or other way around..?

Also, out of the Bookshop, Police Station, & Boutique Hotel, which one do you like the best (considering price increases etc) are any of them more interesting than the others?

I definitely will be considering breaking my “no D2C or major lego sets post price hike” rule for some of these but only bc I truly think some of these are gorgeous- and if I get tired of them- there’s a store up the road a bit that will gladly buy them off of me lol

Also- the gargantos wall panel can actually fit facing inwards if you would prefer to not have a random monster hanging out of the building 😂
