Thanks for doing this - so interesting seeing the answers! I also adore dedications in books my husband and I actually bought ourselves a book for our first wedding anniversary and dedicated it to ourselves. Very silly now but in fifty years I suspect it will seem much lovelier!

What a fun tag! I love dedications, too. I also love finding little bits and bobs in books like bookmarks, postcards, and other items. When I worked in a library, this happened a lot. :)

I love that you collect inscribed books :). I found one at a library sale that a student had given to an inspirational professor and I find it so charming and sentimental :).

Ooh, yes! I think it's a sign that I'm a big book nerd that I have an entire book cataloguing items that a second hand bookseller has found in books across the years :D

It depends what you're looking for, really! Abe Books is pretty great, but often for older editions the sellers don't upload photos, so you kind of have to know what you're looking for. Or just risk it and take a chance, which is what I usually do :)

Isn't it just! The pages feel so wonderful, and I didn't even show the endpapers which are even prettier than tthe title page. Now, to actually read it :P
