I'm in medina and I went the whole day to al haram. Now it is midnight I didn't sleep, because it was so interesting. MashAllah❤. Now going to Fajr prayer without sleep but, it was worth it.

A person who’s goal is a job or a certain position that society tells him will give him happiness will only feel emptiness once he reaches that goal, but one with the goal of pleasing allah will always have a content heart, faced with hardship or ease.

we feel how we feel. Often the more we push away a feeling, the more it persists. No one likes to feel sad, but sometimes we do. we're human. Alhumdoolillah subhan Allah!!

A lot of our depression is connected to insolence and refusal to praise Allah

Subhanallah, I am looking for a job, and that Dunya stuff makes me sad also, and just by hearing the Quran at the beginning it already made me feel better.

Indeed it's a cure for the peoples.

In a way I'm happy to be sad when I get distracted, because I know that reminds me of Allah SWT and his book, and I do usually read and remember, but sometimes even not doing so for some hours can have an effect...

Allahu akbar.

May Allah SWT bless all of us here, clear us of doubt and make us of the firm believers who remember Allah SWT often.

How very disappointing to see so many people associating depression and anxiety with laziness and being "unproductive ".
No. More often than not, it is a result of trauma, being overwhelmed with too much in life while having no support, and being a victim of abuse.
I think a lot of you are misunderstanding the difference between sadness and depression/anxiety- which are mental illnesses whereby the chemical balance of the brain is not correct- again, quite often as a result of trauma.
On another, posituve note, thank you brothwr Taymiyyah for another wonderful lecture! 😊
