How does the minimum wage in portugal translate to what needs deposited in a bank? You said it was about 675 - is that a monthly or weekly figure? Following that statement you said several thousand needs deposited...?? I don't plan to work, just want to live.

Is there not an extended visitor's visa that you can get whilst staying there for >90 days. but <180 ? Cannot lose residency in Canada currently due to taxes on private savings used for retirement income. Because retired and bought a small house in Portugal in 2019 to spend five months there yearly after retirement in early 2020, just before Covid!
