I really love my Mavic Air. Fits right in the camera bag. Sets up fast. Super stable, no drift. Pretty good range. Definitely a traveling photographer's dream drone. I'm taking it all over when we camp and hike this year.

Matti, yeah the WiFi in the USA is solid and probably pretty good their in Canada as well. But because of varying WiFi regulations outside of the USA (we follow FCC regulations) the frequencies, bands being used, 2.400 - 2.4835 GHz vs 5.725 - 5.850 GHz will vary and so will the distances and interference your getting when flying the Mavic Air. I would just be extra cautious when traveling from one country to the next and not expect the same level performance as one's home country.

I really enjoyed your review. I have been testing the Mavic Air on my channel for months now and I am extremely happy with this drone. It is imperative to learn how to change between different Wi-Fi channels as interference from other Wi-Fi signals can ruin your flight. I really like the camera on this drone, the flight time is decent, the selection of flight modes is perfect, and this little drone is extremely reliable...even in high winds 💨 I have subscribed, thanks for the quality video!

I completely agree. I have a P4P which I will use ONLY when the extra flight time is a requirement or when the camera specifications are extremely demanding. That being said, I fly my Mavic Air over 95% of the time. Even if I have a need for the P4P, I might well take all the preliminary shots or explore the area with the Mavic Air first. I feel the higher chip speed in the new drone enables a much higher sampling rate for GPS position or target lock-on positions for Intelligent Flight Modes ... so again, it seems better for automated flight. Then there's the APAS feature which makes the Mavic Air the drone of choice in tight flying spaces.

Hi Matti - I really love all your drone tutorials. I've learned a ton! I just bought a Mavic Air a few weeks ago and shot some footage this morning - some in 1080 120fps for slow mo and some in 2.7K 24fps. The 24fps footage looks great, but the 1080 is really grainy and has an almost TV static look to it. Have you seen this before? Just wondering if I maybe have a setting wrong? (I had the shutter at 240). Any tips would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Nice video Matti! :) So you say the mavic air is your fav drone right now. How does it compare to the mavic pro? What are main differences I should consider before I make my choice?

I bought it a couple of weeks ago... It replaced my phantom and spark! Awesome drone and as you said, the most versatile out there! Keep doing the good work, awesome videos!
