09. Regulation of GFR and RBF (Glomerular Filtration Rate and Renal Blood Flow)

Video Summary:
This is 3rd and last video on glomerular filtration. I am explaining various factors affecting renal blood flow and glomerular filtration rate in this video. In previous video, we have already seen how afferent and efferent arteriolar resistance affects GFR. And in this video, we will see how these factors affect these resistance. I have used flow chart so that you can focus on the importance of these factors rather than repeating same visuals from last video. Leave a comment if you want to ask anything.

When things makes sense, it makes learning a much nicer experience. This makes me imagine: if their was presentations in public schools(elementary, etc), like yours, that made concepts so much easier to understand; it would probably make school nicer for many children/young people.

Thank you so much for this amazing video, I have a question to make my mind more clear: how RBF increase lead to GFR increase ?

And in ANP how can decrese in afferent arteriole resistance cause decrese in golmerular hydrostatic pressure

All theses regulation occur together or any only one of them

Really I loved it..but sir i've a doubt, in all the cases when u showed increase in afferent arteriolar resistance decreases the glomerular hydrostatic pressure and RPF, it was clear with physiology..But when you were illustrating regulation by ANP, you showed decrease in afferant arteriokar resistance also decreases glomerular hydrostatic pressure and RPF...how come both increase and decrease in afferent arteriolar resistance decrease them ? That must be contrasting right? Please clear my doubt..

(When) the auto regulation work ??
And( when) the other regulation as sympathatic and ANP works????

Because if auto regulation work due to high blood pressure it will finally decrease GFR.
And if the ANP work due high blood pressure it will finally increase GFR .

They are opoosite
Which from the two will work and which dont work depend on what ???
Depend on the level of blood pressure if very high or if little high????
