Its also good to point out the difference between a melody loop and a drum loop. Melody IS the song. Only melodys, lyrics and the underlying chord progression tied to said melody can be copyrighted. Drums samples and Drum Loops are different. You can't copyright a 4 bar drum beat where the original sounds came from Drum Machines which in themselves were for open use. You cant' copyright drum machine sounds in one shots or loop form. Now lets say you have an acoustic performance of a real Drum Kit taken from an actual hit song. Oh yes they might sue you for that but sounds that were derived from drum machines not really.

Man im 35 and from the uk, i been making beats on and off for like 15 years. But i got caught up in a load of drugs and prison. But i been out 5 years now and im trying to start this shit properly, as late as it may be. I use logic and bin playing keys from a kid so i make all my own loops, unless im making some old school ny hiphop with samples. Anyway hit me back my bro maybe i can send you some files. My mixing game isn't 100% but i still no how to make a track knock!. Luv from England to the u.s!!

The headache is just too much with splice. Just get a session musician you can work with and pay them and get loads of your own personal loops
