I had a farmer’s market yesterday and because my close family and friends know how intense life has been for me recently, they offered to come and help. I wanted to say no at first and tell them that I would manage, but I had a come to Jesus moment and realized denying their support wasn’t exactly what was best for my wellbeing. Sometimes you have to recognize when your inability to accept or ask for help is actually hurting you. 

Being the girl who wears many hats, is on top of all her deadlines, and constantly writing to-do lists isn’t as appealing as it used to be. Growing up, I was so impressed with the older women I knew who "did it all" without breaking a sweat. However, as I’ve gotten older and begun to grasp the reality of living like that, I realize that is not my ministry. I need people and I need their help.
