BMW LED ANGEL EYE HALO INSTALL E60 530i

Here is a quick video guiding you through the install of LED replacement lights for the halo in the headlight assembly also known as Angel eyes. This particular vehicle is a 2005 BMW 5 series 530i. (I apologize, i know i said 3 series in the video lol) This also applies to 3 series BMWs e90.

Nice to see you don't have to swap the housing. When swapping nautical lights to aftermarket LED there are many complicating features such as field of projection, heat absorption, luminosity and color temp that complicate the swap. It looks like the OEM option has designed the new light to balance all of those factors.

I came across the poor wire sleeves, and what I did was cut the wires, slip heat shrink the length of each end and butt connect the ends with heat shrink butt connectors and it came out perfect without the RTV mess. I also zip tied the wires away from each other to prevent incidental contact. My way may take longer, but I hate the mess of RTV. Good video demo though.

Have a 2008 550i, the halo bulb burned and the socket where it goes as well inside the headlight.

Do you know how to replace the angle eye halo assembly. The retaining ring is loose inside the headlight and cant find a way to get this out!

Curious...why did you take 3 screws out on the top? Only 2 hold it in...I see you have bigger hands like me, need skinny guitar fingers, makes it easier

I just picked up a pair of angel eye led, similar to these in the video, it’s bright but not like the new BMW’s...

Is it even possible to get it as bright as the newer models?
