Hey ya'll. This is Brian, "the local area expert". I had so much fun with Matt and the team. The one on one time was a dream come true for a long-time viewer like me.

I almost jumped out of my seat when I first saw the Morvair and Wrecker driving right next to me on the slabs.

Thanks for letting me tag along. I hope to make it out to your shop and say hello again, sometime.

I love the Wrecker. He started with a tape measure and some steel stock. Welded on a lot of found objects, and stuff made from more steel stock. And here we are. Not bad for a man with no idea what he was doing.

This has to be in the top 5 videos ever. Beautiful scenery. Teamwork that rivals the gold nugget recovery. A few observations; 1. Caitlin and Collin are smart, attentive and focused. They take direction well. 2. The wrecker is a formidable machine. I can't think of a tougher or more nimble civilian vehicle. 3. Matt is a natural leader. I loved how he left it to the youngins and guided them through the obstacles as a great leader does. Patiently giving clear instructions. Never losing his attention to how he approaches them in his requests. Just fantastic teamwork in a situation that was rife with opportunities for it all to go south. Lastly, the wrecker eating up the soup bowl was epic. Made it look easy. What a machine. A great way to spend an hour. Thanks again for top notch content.

The Wrecker climbing the Soup Bowl reminded me of a monster crawling out of its den in the morning. Love it.

The wrecker is just a machine. But you can also see why Kaitlyn is a champion driver and Kaulin is going to be the next gen fabricator and driver. You’re a great teacher Matt.

As a former Tahoe resident and one who has attempted just a part of the Rubicon Trail and also a big fan of Matt’s Off Road Recovery YouTube channel, this was the best episode ever! Congratulations on the recovery and thank you for the awesome drone footage! That was really fun to watch.

I love seeing Katelynn use her skill from competitive rock crawling and apply it to the work she is doing with MORR. What she did here on the Rubicon, in a complicated beast of a machine, doing a very difficult task, for several hours, shows that she is a huge asset for the team. Plus...this young woman just SPARKLES!! Her cheerful presence and clever retorts (about using the rear-steer for example) is great fun for us watching the videos. I'm always glad when she's on the next video.

Imagine being stuck on the Rubicon, and none other than Matt's Off-road Recovery rounds the corner. That would be both awesome, and convenient. Also, watching the wrecker work, and flex out doesn't ever get old. Such a killer rig!

Caitlin, this is for you, I’m an old Grandpa, I watch you work with this group. Oh lord to have had a daughter or granddaughter like I’d be so darn proud. I was in the military with ladies like you. Shy, tough, smart and not afraid of anything. Won’t be long some of those young fellas are thinking “man this gal is great”! When I was very young your type (what I just mentioned) was who I married as my wife! 54 years this year! Yeah, she was shy, tough, smart, articulate, and not afraid. But she was not a rock climber. All the best Caitlin (hope I spelled your name correctly) Yeah you are the tops you beautiful lady you! Best wishes and you will be a mighty fine pilot! I’m Air Force! You need to be a super pilot!!!! 🙏👍👍👍👍👍

Watching the joy on Kaitlynn's face while driving the wrecker warms my teacher's heart. For her the test isn't an obstacle, it's an opportunity. I don't know much about offroading, but I'm guessing the technical challenge of this recovery is off the charts, and your team just knocked it off of the park.

It was great meeting Matt and crew on trail. Jennifer really got a kick out of getting a tug from the wrecker. The wrecker is truly something to behold on trail, very impressive! But what truly impressed me was how quickly you got this edited and uploaded! By the time we were off trail we were being sent screenshots of our cameo appearance! woohoo YouTube almost famous! Matt and team are just as personable and friendly as they appear on these vids, awesome family and team! We thank you.

This is probably your second best recovery. For the record, the Golden Nugget is your #1 recovery video.
Katelynn did an incredible job wheelin" the World's Largest Off Road Wrecker through the Rubicon trail.
She should get a pay raise for that...I think an 11% increase would be good.
Kauliln's arms are 11% bigger now. I hope Kolby's ankle is okay...great camera work as usual.
Keep up the good work Matt. Love your videos!

Across the board, thats the best MORR video in a very long time. Vehicles performed flawlessly. The young crew all brought their A game. Photography and Drone work were brilliant and i saw lots contributing to this. Matt you must be so proud of your team, it just shows what can be achieved when your leader has the confidence to stand back and watch what he has nurtured and they certainly delivered. Awesome job guys and guests.

Back in 06, I rolled my XJ 2-1/4 times on the Rubicon Trail. I remember thinking "How the hell am I gonna get this out of here? There are no tow trucks". Luckily we got it running and I finished the trail and drove it home 500 miles with no hood and no glass. I only had a plexiglass windshield that we rigged up. Greatest trip ever.

Colby had his dreams come true, driving the Morrvair, on the Rubicon Trail which was another dream come true. He's so happy his ankle only hurts when he breaths.
Matt the master of ppl off road recovery did it again on the most visible Trail in the western U.S. The wrecker he designed and built was on the Rubicon Trail doing a job no one else wanted. The total visibility of this recovery is probably get more views than any other recovery. The whole video shows the greatness of him and the wrecker.
Colin's role in this recovery was beyond belief, he kept the truck right side up and saved the sides of the truck with his driving and braking.
Katlin learned how to drive the wrecker on the job. With Matt's guidance she was able to put the wrecker in the safest spots giving Colin a better chance of backing that truck off the trail .
All of the three California jobs I am aware of have shown Matt, the wrecker, and his team successfully recover each vehicle. That's 100% / perfect for out of state recoveries. And don't forget New Mexico...
