Here to me is the problem. It shows us completely that these ASIC companies are price gouging beyond belief. If Goldshell can just rock up and drop 50% of the price of a unit then their profit margins are insane. It must mean that they are charging well over 100% profit on these ASICS. I highly recommend that we as miners start to think a little more with our brains instead of our innate greed. We need to start pitching these manufacturers against each other. How long do you think it will take for you to make a clear 5k on this machine??? That means earn it's price tag, pay the electric, cover the depreciation and make 5k on top? Well it will take Goldshell a week probably, they build it you buy it. I don't see how this is sustainable or logical. I am going to look at my mine differently. I am going to start to evaluate the product on it's profit margins as well as it's earning potential. These companies bring out new ASICS every five minutes, that tells you again they are making so much money that it's no big deal to simply trash your old stock and bring out a new one. These people are hammering us and we need to make our stand. Force these prices down to reasonable levels. I will take lower profits or longer ROI for a company that works with us rather than a company that simply abuses us. The mining world is fraught with fuckery. Delays in shipping, long wait times, price gouging, bait and switch, warranty issues, reliability issues the list goes on. It's time we put a stop to this madness with our wallets. I am an immersion mining operation so we look for long term gains not a quick fix. I will not allow our company to engage in this BS.

I bought the Kadena KA Box Pro on release (4500$). first month I was mining 2 KDA/day (at around 5$ each) today is mining 0.15 KDA/day. I will never ever ROI on this shit :(

Sorry to hear about your KS3M I had 6 KS3M’s zero issues, I sold 4 and my two OG KS3M’s still running today with Zero issues, just got to run them in a clean and cool environment, or am I just that lucky? Anyways my new KS5M’s run even cooler than my KS3M’s so far no issues with them too.

I have been mining ETC for a bit .. I would love a cheap plug into a wall socket Miner for ETC .. I hated with ETH went away from mining I had mined it for a couple of years. So now I mine ETC and I would like to see ETC pick up and go up, i doubt it will ever match ETH but I would like to see it 1/3 rd the price of ETH.

im not getting anymore kaspa miners at the moment
btc miners i can calculate the roi if i combine them with free power
i cant do the same with a kaspa miner (that is a big warning to me)

also looks like they get more now for the kaspa miners when they sell them as alph miners
maby when we can put alph software on our kaspa miners they make a little sense again

after all it is a little funny how the specs and looks on the alph miners all match the producers kaspa miners
and i want to see a alph miner compared to a kaspa miner on the inside before i get one of those

you got to expect changes when more miners are deployed unless something crazy happens and the price appreciates of the coin parabolic. it's risk but so is everything ! Driving a car is risky.

I'm so glad I got out of mining in 2019. The pricing models nowadays makes it next to impossible to ROI. And to hope an asic has a 24 month lifespan is alot of hopium. You really gotta baby those asics to get that type of a lifespan, its doable, but not easy. Now I'm here at home with KSO Ultras and KA Box pro's, just for fun.
