I was looking for a name of a dance which starts with an A for a kitten I am considering adding to the household. Apache is both the perfect name for an Abyssinian and also an amazing dance. I'm so happy I came here.

The wildest apache dance I've ever seen is from an old musical short called Montmartre Madness, featuring the adagio team of Mazzone and Abbott.  There are a couple versions of it on You Tube.

I love that scene in City Lights where Chaplin interrupts an apache dance, thinking it's a real fight. Brilliant!

This is great - it's got a really authentic rough edge. Like something out of Genet - only it's got women in it!  (the gender split is equal in the staging).

Y lo peor es que a ella le gusta y va por mas....casi como en la vida real.

Wow! And it was seventy years before "50 Shades of Gray" let us know women like to be treated really rough and choked. This was ahead of its time.
