Props to handling the hard to copy caller. You copied that caller far better than I could, AND you did a good thing for your viewers by restating the what you copied so others who (like me) couldn't copy got what was being said. You did amazing there, even with your body language, I don't think I ever saw you struggle, you were very patient and intent on listening... :)

In 1994 I was in the Montebello Disaster action team for the Northridge earthquake and helping out with the Red Cross, the Montebello disbanded the training .

Great video. I will say you cell phone is a flashlight and camera after an event. Do not expect to be able to make calls or send text messages. If the backhaul fiber cables are damaged it can take days to weeks before they will work reliably.

Hi, I know this is a bit old, but I'm a new tech, currently studying for General, and really interested in the topic and trying to figure out how to join ARES. I'm really interested in the NVIS topic, in particular, so was really glad to hear you talk about it.
I have a question, on 40 and 80 meters, is the usefulness of NVIS effected negatively during low sunspot cycles? What I mean by that, is it still useful?
Thanks very much.

I’m signing up tonight. Hopefully I can get in with someone and find a way to volunteer for Search and Rescue as well. 2020 shut down volunteer training.
