You turn on dark mode because you want the switch to last longer I turn on dark mode so I don’t get flash banged we are not the same

You don’t necessarily have to turn on airplane mode just deactivate the Wi-Fi

So fun fact, if you have the LCD version dark mode will drain the battery faster. (search how LCD works for more info)

if you take a small brake you should never turn electronics completely off to save battery, the complete Turn on afterwards will drain much more energy than just turning on from standby mode, although when you take langer brakes it will be worth it cause the standby mode does use a bit of energy

The thing with the dark mode doesn't really need to save energy. Some screens turn of the pixel that are black. But these are OLED screens. So it could save energy on the OLED, but I don't think it will really change much on the normal one, because the pixel doesn't get turned off. But I don't even think, that it will do much on the OLED one, because it doesn't really look black

The power off won’t save that much percent unless powered of for long periods because booting up also takes a lot of power

I don’t play in handheld mode mostly because my joycons suck balls but also I enjoy playing on my monitor better but I’m getting an OLED this Christmas so let’s see if it changes

Turning on dark mode will only help OLED screen switches

Lowering brightness only makes a significant difference on the LCD version. The OLED’s screen uses so little battery, you could have it on max brightness, and It would only decrease battery life by a few minutes
