Ptolemy & geocentrism (ASGv1Ch05Lect02)

What is the relationship between astronomy and other areas of theoretical philosophy? In this lecture, I lead you through the preface to Ptolemy's Almagest, in which he explains how Astronomy is a part of Mathematics---as oppposed to being a part of Theology or Physics. Would you agree with Ptolemy?
