I never understand these demos showing the kits playing keyboard chords or 808 sounds - surely a kit at this end of the market is aimed at serious drummers who will play proper kit sounds.

I have a DTX900M and would like to please know how to take an outside snare wave
sound and import it into the module so that I may use it in any of my user
drums sets. Better, if you or someone could please put together a “How to…” here.

Why doesn't the 900 series have an editing app like the 700 and 500 series does? The larger display on an iPhone/iPad would speed up editing especially on a moudule thar has a shit ton more features than its little brother modules.

If it doesn't have an IOS app, I'm not buying it. IMPOSSIBLE to read small screen. I have a Yamaha DTX-M12 multipad. It was IMPOSSIBLE to use without the IPad Pro I was forced to buy. Now it's quick and easy. I've added a bass drum trigger from Yamaha..the DT-50 K. There are only 2 bass drum sounds. Maple or oak. It's not a module it's a sound generator. I put a Roland RT-30H dual trigger on the acoustic snare. Sounds awful. They don't play well together. I think I'd enjoy the 950K. But $8900 ? It came out in 2011 ! It out to be free ! The thing to do is get the 522 for pennies. It HAS the app. Import all new loops or kits, sounds etc. Plug into superior drummer. Now when playing acoustic set you have the module and IPad. Extra pads too and e-cymbals. Want better pads? Go 562.

Ugh just hook up a cheaper electronic kit to a computer and use superior drummer or another sampler and you'll end up with infinitely better sounds...

Yamaha has perfect samples but crappy triggering. Roland is the opposite; great triggering crappy samples.
