It always amazes me the transfer box on my prado 120 is about the same size as the PTO on my BJ40. What a time to be alive.

Still have stock on my 150, have considered the Kaon plate but as you said the weight+cost versus insurance excess. I avoid sending large objects under the middle of the car, if i did it would hit the other bash plates first before the transfer case. In which case i'd probably stop and pick a new line, instead of just sending it, and letting the car bounce on the object/s all the way until it takes out the plastic actuator. I'd love to hear from anyone that's broken one and how they managed it.

Keep up the great channel! I have the Rival under body protection. Its strong and made of 6mm aluminium. The Rival system is imported by Drivetech and they also install and additional crossmember similar to Kaon. Only drawback is i lose about 2-3cm of ground clearance.
