Cloud9 Releases LS and Nobody Knows Why

In a move that has the League community baffled, LS has been let go from his position as head coach of Cloud9. With no explicit reasoning given and no apparent bad blood among the remainder of the team, we're all left wondering what could have caused the early split in what was set to be a three year contract.

Honestly I expected LS to get kicked after a year or something, maybe even a split (since he is pretty abrasive).

But like jesus, this sucks... I was super hyped for LCS as someone who never watched anything but LCK and as someone who used to be a c9 fan back in the day when I was into csgo, it was pretty cool to see this old org which I lost affinity for to be one of my favorite teams right now in LoL.

The response from C9 doesn't give me any confidence that LS ISN'T a victim here. If LS did something REALLY REALLY bad, C9 should have admitted that they had to release him because he was unsportsmanlike or violated League rules, but we are given literally NO HINTS and are instead left with radio silence. This leads me to believe that their PR thinks whatever reason they provide for releasing him would be worse than not saying anything at all. No matter whose side you're on, you can't possibly defend C9's lack of transparency here.

This situation doesn't make any sense.
The team was 3-1, the only defeat was a close game against the other contender for 1' place AND is just the 3' week so that can't be the reason.
It can't be some legal problem because LS would know about it and C9 would probably say it in order to avoid the backlash.
The only explanation is "Drama" but unless LS stabbed someone in the dick this still doesn't make sense.

It is possible that off-camera, LS is a completely different person, he constantly blames his players, he disrespects the executives n stuff
Its probably happened like this, the owners looked at their games and thought that they were trolling or some with the Soraka -Ivern and believed that style of gameplay is not "sustainable" and stable enough for the long road, so then they asked LS to change or fuck off ; and what happened happened .
But, since LS still have a pretty good relationship with T1 CEO, I doubt that he ever disrecpected C9's . I believe that C9 's board are just some dumb fuck people just as trash as TSM 's

I never watch League but kinda keep up with it, but was genuinely thinking about watching Cloud9 games because of the Wild drafts, Can't believe they dropped him.

ls already has a large footing with streaming/twitter/twitch etc. he's not really going to be without resources until the game dies down heavily. It's whether or not he gets something he wants to do, which is coach a team. Showing the diversity that's truly available, and that gets glossed over by very static organizations.

I'm guessing it's because LS expects pro players to be perfect always, and drafts strategies around perfect play, and perfect play is just not always possible

This might be my last straw as a c9 fan, but I seriously can't see myself rooting for any other team. I've been a C9 fan since 2014 and nothing else, but this is making me never want to root for the organization again. It's sad how much I'm praying on their downfall considering how much I love all the players.

Plot twist:him joining c9 was actually just an huge advertisement for his coaching..now a lot of org knows what he's capable of, I'm sure he would get a lot of offer from now on
