Thanks for the review. Just bought a thermos food jar and impressed it can be used to make rice. Also 15 bean and sausage soups sounds delicious.

You can make overnight oatmeal in those thermoses too. I used to dry camp and made lots of stuff like that. I have too many thermoses to count including several of those huge ones that will hold LOTS of coffee. I purchased them to put water cold water in and keep in my vehicle (before I sold them) and that way I had cold water out in the desert. As always, thank you for your videos!

Great review for this flask I’m contemplating buying for kids school lunch😊. Loved that you took the temp before and after.
Only tip with the bean soup temp test: take the temp of food immediately after placing in flask as the food will be much hotter whilst in the pot on the hob. Other than that, awesome review! 👏

Review the thermos icon. It says that it keeps food hot for 10 hours and it has a pressure relief system so it's easy to open

I tested my thermos food flask I preheated the flask with fresh boiled water for a good ten mins beforehand and after 24 hrs I found the water warm not hot so the 24 hrs hot on label on mine clearly ain’t accurate but in saying that soups usually contain solids veg etc which can store up heat like heat sinks do that may play a role in extending the length of time staying hot

How do you keep your rubber gasket clear? Mine is stained from spaghetti 😐

Very good. You can cook the rice in it. You probably could cook a little protein such as chicken in it with the rice

i'd like to see a rest without adding boiling water first. when i'm packing my two kids lunches in the morning the last thing i need is extra work.

Could you microwave a ready meal and stuff it in and do you think it would stay hot for lunch

So hard to trust manufacturer specs anymore, things get more expensive and decline in quality. In Canada these are $35 and up. I'd be careful buying the Thermocafe version which is not very good for any more than a couple hours, depending on ambient temperature.

Bowl is too small I find, I feel a bit goofy using it, and I hate plunging the spoon into the jar cause the bouth is not wide enough. The stanley is a bit better in terms of ergonomics.
