I wish I could have heard some of what you talk about many years ago. Career planning was a weird thing in 1973 when I graduated HS. Working at McDs wasn't good enough but striving for CEO of IBM (when it was still a very important company) was too much. I always got the impression from my mother that a job should only provide a roof, food utility bills, and things like clothes and some savings. But earning a pile of money would have been frowned on. I could have done anything back then.

What's important? Wealth, or living "in the moment"? Because there's CAREER choices that will fulfill the former, while #2 is not a career choice... rather a lifestyle choice...

Half of the private jets I see were hand me downs. They were pops private Jet. 🤣. The other half a mega church pastors putting the tithes and offerings to "good use."

Most of them have a head start due to rich parents which boosts their careers tremendously. So I guess technically it wasn't by accident and they worked for it, but they worked way less for it than someone with a less affluent background would have had to.

Studies show time and time again that it's much easier to grow and hold onto wealth than it is to achieve it for the first time.

Sure, there's hustle involved, but I'm so tired of working 70-80 hours every week between my job and my dream and barely making ends meet for a family of 3.

Tired of being gaslight by wealthy people thumbing their noses as though their wealth is all the confirmation that they need that their work ethic is simply superior to those who actual create the things of value that built their wealth.
