thats my plan to take the hard drive out and put it in my netbook when i buy it today

It's 2.5", SATA, 9.5mm height. I ended up just taking the drive out and using it internally - it was cheaper than buying a bare 500gb 2.5"drive.

Hi, is it normal to go into sleep mode after just 30 seconds of inactivity? The spinning goes down after 30 seconds and the led remains on another 2-3 minutes. Thanks!
