Technically there's no uploading going on here. This is just using the Spotify app to access files that are stored locally. Uploading would mean that you're sending them to a server somewhere and then you could presumably play them on another device. That's not the case with what's shown in this video.

No files are ever "Uploaded". This just pulls music on your computer into the Spotify application. You cannot see these files on other devices.

Really? Copy and paste? At that popup Preferences window there is Add Source option to add a local path to include songs (files) from, and it won't UPLOAD to spotify servers, so technically the title is misleading.
