The SVG is undoubtedly one of the marvels of less-than-modern engineering, and is a pillar of the excellence of it's time. How many other vehicles can hit 12k RPM repeatedly and not break the back end loose? I can't think of a single one. The low profile cross-section paired with the king-of-all-known-wings gives it excellent traction, it really sticks to the road even at high angles.
