I noticed there was a theme of clothes in the show. Vegeta slowly stripping his saying armor and donning human clothes. Also Gohan's choice alone to wear Piccolo's close except his father's for Cell. Then he dons Goku's clothes to fight Buu

One of the thing i like about Dragon Ball is that, if you don’t care much or don’t know the full story, you can just watch the fight and if you care about the story it deep enough for you to nerd your heart out

Toriyama really had great and unusual ideas, had this been done by someone cornier: it would’ve said smth in big text how Piccolo was “killed by Goku, the same boy who lost his friend, the same shirt on him that his friend wore, the same friend who was killed by the demon’s son.”

I'm sure there's would be so much detail that I never noticed if I went back through the original dragon Ball. Assuming Toriyama didn't do the classic "I forgot", that's some great attention to detail
