Plane Spotting at Belfast City Airport | 7th July 2022

My first time plane spotting in Northern Ireland. A summers day in Belfast with warm, cloudy and light wind conditions. Throughout the day the variable wind allowed for operations on both Runway 04 and 22. Luckily, 04 was the predominant runway in use allowing some lovely close up takeoff and landing shots from a variety of the traffic serving BHD.

The main highlights were seeing the Dash 8's from the new FlyBe as well as ATR's from Emerald Airlines. FlyBe also had a Marathon Airlines E175 and a Swift Air ATR 72 operating on their behalf. Other traffic included an Aer Lingus A320, British Airways E190, A320 and A320neo, Loganair E145 and a TBM 700. Plenty of stuff to see!

Also a special thanks to Jamie from NWAviation for joining me and showing me around!

Where the great Short Belfast and Short Skyvan were tested. Used to watch them from my parent's house up in Knockbreda.
