I always enjoyed Wizard Magazine. Started from the beginning. There weren't many magazines that talked about all the different companies before Wizard.

I loved Wizard magazine. I still buy em if I see em cheap. There was a time when I broke and I wasn't even picking up regular books but I would buy Wizard magazine to catch up. I always loved the Top 10 artists and writers. Enjoyed this a lot.

Very nice! Wizard was a big player back on the 90’s. I had pretty much the first 150 issues which I found in quarter bins or in the trash. They all went when I sold my 10 longboxes of Indys about 5 years ago.
I thought it had some fun articles but the Price Guide was way off.

Oh my God, i remember getting number . It had a coverr by Todd McFarlane of Spider-Man. The first few issue the character had the hat or cloak of a wizard with character.
At one point, they started to come polybagged with stuff like ashcan comics, trading cards etc.
Then they started to come in variant covers. First, two and i believe later three. When my cousin and i went comic book shopping together he used to nuy every single copy of the month issue plus and extra copy so he can read that one and no open the others.
At a signing for Jim Lee Fantastic Four Heroes Reborn, he was there and signed each copy of Wizard for my cousin and me.

I didn't know it tan that long. I use to buy it religiously also. I just bought#2 out of.50¢ bin a few weeks ago. I would also buy Comic Book Collector magazine.

Great video, I miss Wizard too! it really gave so much insight to the history of creators, characters and publishers for me as well as exposure for of some awesome independents. My friends and I in school used to love it. They did lose me when the went into the Rolling Stone type of format though.

I certainly enjoyed Wizard back in the day. I have several issues. The one issue I wish I owned is number 154 with Soulfire. Gonna find that one day. LOL. Great stroll through memories brother.

i enjoy looking through old Wizard/Comic Scene, PWI(wrestling), Source, they're like time capsules.


if you're interested the Cartoonist Kayfabe channel does super in-depth looks at Wizard issue by issue, i think they're on issue 23. i like to put them on while i make dinner or organize my comic room.
