used to use something similar every day when i worked at a fabric store
just a little tip-- to get a consistent straight line we would cut in the gap of two tables, at home you can tape down two parallel slightly offset pieces of cardboard so there's a little grove in the middle.

That cutting cardboard is so useful. I have hard time cutting cardboard with scissors or knife.

Thanks for the Christmas gift Idea. My mother has arthritis in her hands and it's been slowing her down when it comes to sewing. She does have rotary cutters but she constantly dulls them. This looks like a nice alternative for those moments..

I used one when I was working on my last job, but the blade was like 20 centimeters long, so this one is actually more safe for me.

Those will be great for me amd the hubby as he is left handed, im ambidextrous but right hand dominant and we both have joint conditions, he has arthritis and i have hEDS so this will make lige so much easier!

In Korea, we cut everything with scissors from paper, plastic, fabric, to meat, and vegetables.
I don't think that's a scissor.
