As a welder, the discovery of more helium makes me very happy.
For those who don't know, helium is one of the most stable common shielding gasses and is often thought to be the best overall. It is unfortunately non-renewable, so more supply means it will cost less in the future.

If internet ever taught me anything, helium-3 is a compound that can be used as a fuel for fusion reactor which provide clean energy and safer than nuclear reactor. The only problem is the compound is so rare to find on earth,

Geologist here. Helium 3 is essentially a nuclide that could only be formed in one of two ways. Constant solar radiation bombardment, or as a primordial nuclide from the Big Bang. Because helium is so “light” it’s constantly rising and emitting away from earth as Earths gravity is not truly enough to hold it. The moon has a lot of it due to not having and atmosphere to protect it and its lithium being bombarded with solar rays/winds pretty consistently while we have an atmosphere and emf to absorb a lot of it. It’s also very populous in the gas giants but that’s more because that’s where it ended up after the Big Bang.
It’s seen as a good energy source for its ability for nuclear fusion without generating radioactive material, but we’re still a good ways away from that.
It’s extremely likely that this is just a pocketed remnant from the Big Bang that was trapped in Earths interior. Also possible that it was distributed from the Thea collision but less likely. Nothing to worry about

Helium 3 is a very rare isotope on earth, but it has been theorized that a large amount of it exists on the surface of the moon. Helium 3 is very useful because it can be used as fuel for nuclear fusion.

Helium-3 is also a valuable component in Fusion research, as it could hypothetically be the ideal fuel.

In chemistry class in 9th grade, we learned that we only had about 15 years left of helium supply left in nature deposits because of how much we use it. Maybe this event could give us some insight as to how we might not necessarily be out of luck yet.
