Best Anime Series of 2024

Here's our best anime series of 2024. From the fun and appetizing, Delicious in Dungeon, to the emotional Frieren: Beyond Journey's End , this year gave us a ton of anime to enjoy. Which anime series is crowned the best of the year? Check out our list of the full nominees and the 2024 winner!

(Note: For IGN's Best Anime award, anime must have completed airing their season or cour/parts in the U.S. by 2024 in order to be eligible. This means The Apothecary Diaries among others were up for consideration in 2024 as it was completed by voting time.)

(Update: New Fall 2024 series like DanDaDan that have not been completed by voting time will be considered for next year.)

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Season 3 was/is my favorite, and it wasn't even mentioned. I also love Dandadan/ Dan Da Dan and Orb: On the Movements of the Earth. There's just too many new anime to cover in a short video about the Best Anime Series of 2024.

I’ve really dropped off watching anime this year. I rinsed a boat load of interesting shows in the past 19 years (modern and vintage). I wasn’t planning on watching any anime, but Frieren caught my eye and I was hooked. Definitely a recommendation for us anime veterans.

ORB, Yatagarasu & Dead Dead Demons are easily the best new titles to come out this year!

Adding Frieren & Apothecary Diaries (even tho they were Top Tier) feels absolutely stupid when the show came out last year but for some reason Fall lineup can't be talked about until a year later -

I loved Frieren: Beyond Journey's End! I can't tell you how many times I watched the show, but it was alot! My copy of the blu-ray might even be arriving at my house tomorrow! Can't wait to rewatch the show again!

IGN, "light novel written by Aka Akasaka" is just bad homework. Oshi no Ko is a manga series jointly by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, with Aka working on the story while Mengo working on the illustrations.

When ever I try I forget about oshi no ko and move on, it just pops up from somewhere to remind me of the trauma of an ending 😔
