The take away he did not mention is that the roots must be given space so use a bigger pot after assuring that there is no binding.

Do you need a bigger pot if it's root bound?

You should prune the roots too. You want them to establish into fresh soil with the ability to choose where their roots will sit in the pot. I cut almost half the length off once I rake them out. They fit better in the new pot anyways

Another Tip: Trim off 1/3 of the roots (I let roots harden off 1st) then repot. Your plant will thank you later.

Why would put a root bound plant back in the same sized pot?

Oh wow. I feel like an idiot. This explains a lot. I never tried loosening the roor ball.

I have no experience in this but it won't be easier to trim some roots since the plant probably spend all the energy in growing bigger roots than focusing on the top green part 🤷‍♂️?!
Or we kill the plant trim them down ?

There is no need to be so gentle loosening the roots. You can use a cultivator to rake the sides of the root ball. Mutilate the roots to stimulate growth.

Bigger pot, and avoid cylindrical ones. If the root habituates for long enough it keeps growing in a spiral even with a bigger pot. If you put it back in the same pot you'll have the same issue in no time.

But yes, if it's wilting, it's the plant itself getting rid of less efficient leaves - and individual leaves themselves have a life span. Its green parts are too much for the soil/root volume available - no way around that.

Edit:typo

That's stupid. Each of the stems you see there is it's own plant and there should be at most 3 plants per pot. They will just become rootbound again with this method

Putting a rootbound plant into a new pot that’s 5% bigger than the previous one 😜

You remove the pot and replaced it with the same size pot 🤡

Repotting wont make a different unless change into a bigger pot. Just cut off the root and let it grow new roots

Do you think any other species, would be able to be this careful with a plant?

I usually submerge my root balls and tickle them underwater, that seems to help me with the really packed in soil.

Al menos dividir la planta en dos, o mejor aún en cuatro partes, y cada una en su propia maceta.
