1. Girl Scout Week is Sunday, March 8 - Saturday, March 14, 2020. That's seven straight days to show off your Girl Scout pride and to lift up all that this worldwide sisterhood has given you, your community, and the world! Join us in treating each day as a day of action focus on a powerful yet simple way to get involved.
2. "I have something for the girls of Savannah, of America, and all of the world, and we're going to start it tonight!" - Juliette Low. Juliette Low founded the first Girl Scout Troop on March 12, 1912 in Savannah, Georgia. This year, Girl Scouts will celebrate it's 108 birthday.
3. Today, Girl Scouts is the largest leadership organization for girls in the world with 1.7 million girl members and 750,000 adult members working primarily as volunteers. That's 2.5 million people dedicated to the idea that there's power in every girl.
4. A great way to celebrate Girl Scout week is by giving back to the community. Does the local park need cleanup, does the food bank need volunteers? As always, a Girl Scout is the best person for the job.
