Attorney Tom Grieve is a former state criminal prosecutor from Wisconsin before eventually founding what is now the state's largest criminal defense firm at more than 20 attorneys. In 2019 the firm expanded into family law and added a dedicated team of professionals to further serve clients with similar aggressive and proven strategies.

We have been saying much of this for nearly twenty years. We've drawn up numerous training proposals (free of charge), and not one has ever been excepted by any sheriff's office or police department, or any organization responsible for "helping or informing the public" in some way. I appreciate your efforts good sir, because clearly no one is listening to private security contractors or security agencies in my state, and hopefully your expertise will lend some credibility to the argument. Yeah I agree with the opening and statistics. I live in Maine and the way the national news stations handled the one we just had was awful. The local news was completely different. The national news was using words like slaughter, massacre, not actually being factual on the number of deaths and how people died. And did not fully cover what lead to the shooting. Yes this was awful, however they made martyrs out of us and treated us like a good story. 👎😡

What blows my mind is the simple fact that once someone decides to commit murder, arguably the first law ever put on the books (or in "the book" if you will), all other laws become a moot point. Yet here we are again demanding more laws. Self preservation has been the only thing keeping society even remotely sane and more and more people just don't care if they live or die or who they take with them if they go. That's a mental health issue and access to mental health usually only happens after you do something bad, is it any wonder we are where we are?

Back in the early 90, s a study was done and showed that the majority of mass shooters at that time were currently or previously under a psychiatrist's care, and were treated with anti-depressants, such as Prozac. As a side note, Prozac and anti-depressents like it were banned in the US for a short time, and are currently banned in Europe. Studies show a small percentage of people treated with these drugs can become extremely violent.

If the 2A organizations, manufacturers of firearms, and manufacturers of firearm things would create an organization that would hire an ad firm and put some of these kinds of stats and facts on just a few billboards here and there, two things would begin to happen. (1) The cases for 2A and for lawful and responsible gun ownership would begin to draw in the open-minded undecided - even some of the antagonists - into 2A support. And (2) a few in the alternate media (eg: Joe Rogan, Megyn Kelly, Lex Friedman, Bret Weinstein) just might produce an interview or two with some in the 2A blogosphere who are calmly fluent on the pro-2A topic and are are of presentable appearance and demeanor in homes outside of the 2A domain where children are present. And why? Because (1) if that begins to happen, we will gain independent voter support outside of our echo chamber; and because (2) without that new support we will lose what little remains of 2A in the legislatures and in the courts.
