When I listen to Bach I see someone with culture, a man who fights against ignorance. When I listen to Mozart I see someone with natural talent, an indisputable genius. When I listen to Beethoven I see someone fearful, who fights against fate. But when I listen to Chopin... I see a tormented man, someone who suffers, and who through his works tries to comfort himself. As if with these melodies he was trying to tell himself that yes, that life is not fair, but giving up will not change anything, it will continue its course and it is better to continue. When I listen to Chopin I see myself.

Thank you for your excellent performance. After listening to the video of the Chopin Competition, I am going to start playing the piano for the first time in 50 years. I take out my old, old, yellowed sheet music and stare at it every day.

I didnt think i would like another performance of this nocturne than Rubinstein's, but this one is the closest. Amazing!
