I understand why he would say this- When you are young, the mind is hell bent on illusion. Those belts, despite the amount of money they may have brought forth- came with an incredible amount of pain and suffering- drug abuse, ect. Their glamor has already faded in his eyes. _\m/

I completely see where he's coming from. When you're young, and known as the best boxer in the world, it probably feels incredible, and you're saying "Yes!! I'M the champ!!" But then, as you get older, and you have children, it's like "how does being the champ, and best boxer in the world, REALLY help my children?" But, then again, his being champ, and known as the all time great, has brought him a lot more opportunities, and he knows a ton of people. If his daughter grows up, and wants to be an actress, he knows directors, actors, and actresses, that would probably help her get her start. If she wanted to be a musician, he knows musicians. So, it's actually a good thing that he won those belts. He's actually really happy nowadays. He seems to be loving life. Now he's about to step back into the ring again for the first time in YEARS. And you know what? He looks just as good as he did when he was younger. Mike Tyson, was born to be a boxer. He knows everything there is to know about boxing. He knows every technical aspect of it. Not just how to box physically, but how to do it, mentally as well. I would love to sit down, and have a conversation with Mike. He knows how to be stronger, mentally. Which is something that I definitely need to work on. I've let depression completely take over my mind. I'm letting depression win. For the past 5 years, I've literally just been sitting in the house, doing absolutely nothing with my life, and it's just passing by. I made mistakes in the past, and my own father, and half brother on my fathers side, along with my dad's whole family, want nothing to do with me. I stole 20 bucks from my grandpa, in 2013, when I was strung out on pain pills, and was withdrawing, and needed some. Of COURSE it's NOT ok to steal. Especially from family. But I've been clean since 2016. I have a 4 year old daughter, and have been with her mother for 6 years this December. I've apologized to my grandpa profusely. But, none of them can seem to forgive me. They don't even want anything to do with my daughter. I beat myself up, EVERY day about it. I miss my dad, brother, and grandpa. I just want to be the old me again.
