Fabulous Stewart! I've already said Rock Island is one of my favorite albums since Martin was seemingly allowed to spread his wings so to speak and have more of a role in the album from a listener's point of view. Heavy Water really flows (pun?), and I used to wear out this cassette tape while oil painting many years ago. It was highly inspirational, motivational, energetic and I couldn't get enough of this song and album. The lead parts that you played were awesome and your agility brings your acoustic guitar to life. Unparalleled once again! Thanks!

Enjoying the privilege of having this ever-growing library of IA/Tull songs to peruse and enjoy - like having one of my “best-of” mix tapes always at the ready.
This song translates over so, so well to acoustic! I’ve come back a few times now, and like many others in this collection, I enjoy this one quite a bit more than the commercial version.

Love the work you do here! A lot of people get caught up in the style changes over the year, but when you strip it back to acoustic, you can see the craft and skill behind the songs, and how Tull-like they really are, even when coated in the aural aesthetic of the era when they were recorded, and the phases Ian was going through.
I'm the kind of fan where I can truly say I love all of Tull; I'm willing to follow this Pied Piper on his journey, wherever it takes me. But your approach really helps make it easier for less obsessive folks to ease in to some albums! And they really help me view the songs in a new way.
