Richie Kotzen, in my opinion, is in the top 2 (Prince) single most talented/rounded musician/singer/songwriter that I've ever heard. There is only 1 Richie Kotzen and we are so lucky to have him and his music in our lives. I've never met him, but he grew up in PA about an hour away from where I still live today. One day I hope to see him either solo or with The Winery Dogs. I live half hour away from Mike Portnoy and have seen him around a few times and he's one of the coolest, most humble guys I've ever met. Throw in Billy Sheehan, one of the greatest bassists ever, and the talent in their 3pc band is immeasurable. Thanks for this video Richie. Your talent is just unexplainably amazing

Richie Kotzen is one of the reasons why I pay high taxes in Los Angeles, crawl in traffic, and wait on long lines, because when he comes out to play, life gets good.

When I was a younger man, I was building a guitar pick collection from people I'd met in concert in Dallas, OKC, etc. No emails, no internet really. Can't remember where I got the address, out of some rock mag or something, but wrote Richie a letter asking for a pick and he sent me a handful. This was before any big gigs, he was solo and solid. I remember the kindness, but also have always thought he was amazing. Years later, it's a fact. Still going strong.
