In 17th-century New England, witch hunter Giles Redferne (Richard E. Grant) captures an evil warlock (Julian Sands), but the conjurer eludes death with supernatural help. Satan kept his promise. Warlock brought together his bible, but was killed before he could read God's name backwards. However, the latter was not Satan's demand. Satan only demanded that it be brought together, and for completing this task, Warlock came back as an immortal (or almost immortal) in _Warlock: The Armageddon._
