apparently I made a BIG mistake on my last video by cleaning up after myself & through-wiring

Oh now you're gonna get it for not mechanically twisting the wires prior to adding the wire nut. Lol, great assistant

Love it. Proves you read the comments and that electrician could be a side gig if the plumbing doesn’t work out 😆

Toddlers are the best age, man. Just like little drunk humans all day / every day. I miss that time with my kids. Enjoy it!

An electrician told me once that they install receptacles with the ground plug at the top so if anything falls between a plug and an outlet, it will hit the ground prong instead of the live prong.

Nothing like showing your kid the trade💪 Great feeling!

your daughter is so cute! Basic rule, one wire per screw, there are exceptions, like everything in life. Keep up the great videos!

You don't want all the current drawn by the downstream receptacles passing through the upstream ones. Hence, the pigtails. Also, better connections. The only exception is a gfci outlet where a pigtail would defeat the purpose.

Is the pigtail the same gauge as the circuit wires? (And also noticed you replaced a 20 amp with a 15 amp... But if you were to watch my attempts at plumbing, I'm sure you'd have plenty to critique too...

The best part of the video is the little heartwarming voice in the background. Good company … good teaching! 👍

I agree with @MrSiestaFiesta, as long as wire is #14. As manufacturer allows it see their specs.
Terminal Accom. : Side wiring accepts #10, #12 and #14 AWG copper (CU) or #10 and #12 copper clad (CC) wire, Quickwire push-in terminals accept #14 AWG solid copper (CU) wire only

Otherwise 2 wires on hot and neutral for #12 or #10.

Most electricians would pigtail the wires as you did but not required in this case.
Taping not required.
Pigtail wires look a little short of 6" from face of box.
