Ducati Diavel V4 2023 Review - the unique macho bike?

When the invitation to the presentation of the new Ducati Diavel V4 fluttered in, I was a bit puzzled by the location: driving presentation in Abu Dhabi! Were we supposed to plow through the desert on the unique macho bike? Far from it, the desert state has a beautiful mountain road to offer, on which the Diavel V4 had to prove itself properly!

Test rode one. Smooth engine but some negatives from old V2 and not enough significant positives to justify trading in my 2021 XDiavel for the V4. Too much plastic, less attractive design, looks more like generic naked sport, higher seat height, cylinder deactivation. Its a Ducati motorcycle. We dont care about saving a cup of fuel! Handling and acceleration isn’t perceptively better. Lower weight but not by much. $27k MSRP for base model too high.
