The Blender RC plane had a baby!... Wait, no... two babies! Twins!

We review the smaller scratch built version of the original Blender biplane, the Baby Blender. Designed with both a swappable fuselage and a conventional (non-swappable) design!

Welcome back Mr Scott. Glad to see your flying more these days.

You can use a Y-harness to use two servos with one channel. But the Baby Blender uses one servo and one channel for the ailerons. You can watch the build video to see how.

Thanks guys, I just love those aerial shots. Great to see how much Josh Scott has come along since you started.

Sometimes I feel like their reviews are bias because they make and build the planes, but still love watching them fly and see the details of the planes. Keep up the good work!

I remember in the very first episodes you wouldn't even let Josh Scott throw a plane for you... and now he's flying his own and describing the flight characteristics quite accurately... that's a lot of evolution right there

Glad you have an option that isn't swappable, much stronger and lighter.

Cmon wee josh, time to practice those landings.

This might be my first build. Looks like a lot of fun! Maybe even for some first time combat!

just a tip, when you make the "spar" that runs through the wing to make the bend and keep it stiff, it works much better if you rotate it 90 degrees, so that going from left to right you have paper, foam, paper, rather than having paper, foam, paper when you go from top to bottom. this way, the wings don't crease as easily, and have much more rigidity.

Nice flying bipe! You guys do an amazing job of the air to air footage, I know how hard it is to get those shots.

Nice plane!!
Love it...
Could it be scaled down in weight so that it would be possible to fly it indoors??

What actually are the dimensions etc?

A winglet might make any plane that you guys make a bit stronger in carrying weight. I'm not sure if you guys have tried it? Might be cool and fun.

This really is a good flying plane, it was the first rc plane I built and flew. I should have built the ft explorer as my first plane to learn to fly. But so far even with all the crashes, the only plane that was a total loss I crashed into water.
