It's so good and sweet when it's ripe. This was literally the most unripe one i have ever seen.

Fun fact: this fruit is also called shareefa in Urdu. It is a close relative of soursop, which in Hindi is called Ram phal, while custard apple in Hindi is called Sita phal. When ripe, the pulp is soft and cream in colour and the texture is like thick custard.

This is "Aata" in Bengali! I love this fruit. You've got to eat it ripe though. The riper it is the sweeter and custardy it is!

I've been eating custard apples ever since I was a child. My grandma used to have a tree in their garden. When ripe, the custard apple gets softer and sweeter. So soft that you can literally take a single eye very easily.
