This song came out when I was serving with the 25th Infantry Division US Army.

There are two kinds of murderers, there is the Brute and there is The Warrior. The difference is the Warrior knows that the talent to commit murder is a sacred gift that belongs to one's people and is properly used only in their service. It's not about good guys and bad guys, it's about love for one's people. The Brute forever remains a fool but the warrior, if he does not end up in a military grave, grows old to become a sage.

And this is summed up in three verses "the will to give and not receive" (which always brings Arlington Cemetery to my mind; the ultimate sacrifice) the second phrase "what does it mean if your weak or strong a gentle feeling can make it right or make it wrong." And it's just as important "how can you be a man until you see beyond the life you live ?" 🙏
