Hi, my name is Callie and I'm a certified Pilates and Barre instructor and certified holistic health coach. As a former competitive figure skater who struggled with body image and chronic injuries, I fell in love with low-impact "flow" type workouts, like Pilates and barre. After spending many years feeling bloated, low energy and discouraged, I realized the power of listening to how your body feels before/during/after your workout. Not only do you see physical results through doing the right exercises for you, but you also see mental results! Lol I thought the same thing. Once you use correct form, tighten your core, and do slow/controlled movement you really feel that burn.

its the same thing with ballet! because i went to an old studio who just didn’t care about technique but now the studio im at actually corrects my technique and it is HARD

I love ballet because it’s about engaging specific muscles and isolated then. Having to think about 4 different things at once (your head, shoulders, wrist, fingers, hips, rotators, knees, ankles, ball of the foot, and toes). It feels magical when you become very strong to be able to hold yourself up like you’re floating.

Back when I did ballet we also did pilates for strength training and good GOSH it was difficult even as someone who danced 20+ hours a week

Yeah people ahit on it but it is so wonderful for gettign to know you body and muscles which is something i think many people don't ever actually learn or are properly taught, we're just expectes to have our bodies figure it out apparently. I didn't learn i walked wrong until i was in my late 20s.

Pilates just gets harder the more you do it. The more you do it tge better your form gets and the better the mind body connections gets and the more you can work your deep core

Realll. My mom is a Pilates instructor and is always helping my brothers and I with little exercises to help us with swimming and ITS HARD. I’ve gone to some of my mom’s classes and they’re 90 DEGREES. WHAT THE HELL BRO

Fr I always watch blogilates cuz they got my fav no jump cardio (I have asthma so I can't do jumps, but I'm intermediate in terms of flexibility so I prefer to use her videos), but holy moly CASEY HO CAN TALK SO MUCH IN THE VIDEOS MEANWHILE I WAS GRASPING FOR AIR EVEN WHEN I ONLY FOCUS ON MY FORM AND BREATHE😭😭😭 I don't care about reps or how many I can get, I got into pilates to exercise my breathing but it was a humbling experience every single time🤘🏻😂

I'm trying to slim down my hips and legs with Pilates, and I really like it because I can just do it at home on my bed. But honestly, I'm feeling super discouraged because I've been doing it almost every day. Sure, I've had breaks of four to five days in between sometimes, but otherwise, I've been consistent. And unfortunately, I don't see any results at all. It burns every time I do the exercises, and I push myself to the limit, but I just don't know what I'm doing wrong...

For wlmost every skill: if its really easy when you just started you most likely are doing something wrong. Or hqvent seen everything yet
